Boston University performed autopsies on 376 deceased NFL players.
It was determined that 345 (91.7%) had CTE {Feb, 2023}
Principle Investigator Anne McKee, MD says "the biggest risk factor for CTE is not the violence of one or two isolated head blows, but rather the smaller, repetitive head impacts, like those that football players experience throughout a game or season. Those repeated blows cause a buildup of misfolded tau protein in the brain..."

Matthew Plummer founded Patriot Research & Company after 27 years in the Medical Industry. With 15 years in Oncology Sales, Marketing, Research & Development. Matthew worked for Big Pharma for 2 decades & HIPPA was formed just as he began his career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Abbott Labs in 2001. Matthew was the #1 Territory Manager at Novocure, Inc. where he first learned the value that Observational Registries bring to patients facing death in an area of un-met need. Matt's experience at Novocure taght him how to go from a start-up nobody heard of to providing a Standard of Care Medical Device for Glioblastoma. With a passion for Neurology & Psychology Mr Plummer will officially receive his PhD from Liberty University in mid-2026.

REST IN PEACE STEW! 1975-2025 Always finding the good in every situation, Stew managed our Boston location & oversaw Commercial Operations at critical moments as Patriot Research was being formed. Always positive in the darkest moments, Stew was vital to the concept to start a medical sales distributorship focused on building research protocols for "Research-Only MSC-Exosomes." All Exosomes are Categorized as 361/351 biologics that are unapproved by the FDA. When Matthew Plummer told Stew, "Yes Exosomes bring great promise but they are naturally occuring in the body. No Pharmaceutical giant can Patent them & thus it will take years, and a trust-fund baby who cares about humanity, before their approval." Stews reply, "Well Plummer it sounds like you just came up with your 5-year Business Plan." Stew always instilled great confidence in me, finding talent when I was young, raw, full of anxiety, & anger over growing up without a dad. Matt Stewart was an integral motivator when my medical career began in 2001, months after the 9/11 attacks. The week before he died, Stew found a position that would change the trajectory of my career forever.
